Lazy Sundays

It's freezing but I thought it would be nice to take a stroll in the park after lunch. I've been digging out all my large comfy cardigans and wraps in preparation for winter. But with the new pieces I've bought recently, I've hardly got any space left to store them as they are so bulky.

Napoleon aka Naps, my beloved fur ball, has also destroyed one of my storage containers by sitting on the cover. He's made a hole in one of them! Well it's not entirely his fault (poor thing). Years of exposure to the sunshine just might have been the catalyst.

I've never really shopped at Asos until recently. The site is pretty slick and they have some very cool  pieces on offer. So they got me hook line and sinker and I'm converted now. I picked up this cardi/wrap and geometric leggings recently and love it!

That said, the leggings aren't as tight as I thought they would be. After a few outings, they started to loosen up around the knee area a lot. I'm pretty sure it's not meant to do this. Has anyone got one and had the same problem??

Seeing spots

A quick post as I'm dashing off to see a good friend and her beautiful newborn girl, Belle. It's so cold out there and I feel like burrowing in my warm duvet but I'm hauling myself out of bed and determine to enjoy the sunshine (as it'll probably last for another 3 hours).

Bought some new shoes too! I've caved in, I'm afraid...a very bad girl indeed. I will be displaying my new purchases in the next posting. See you later!

Alexander McQueen sample sale

There's more excuse for shopping especially when one of my favorite labels has a sale.  I'm hoping that the massive tutu skirt that I hesitated buying at the last sample sale will still be there. I chickened out the last time because I thought it was too flamboyant. But flamboyant is the way forward I think.

Life is too short!

So here are the details and go mad!

Wednesday 1st Dec: 12pm - 9pm
Thursday 2nd Dec: 11am - 8pm
Friday 3rd Dec: 10am - 7pm
Saturday 4th Dec: 10am - 5pm

Taking a break

This week has been so busy with new projects coming on board, whilst also keeping on top of my wedding to-do-list, like designing the invites. The wedding is split into two parts, one in Kuala Lumpur and the other on a beach up north. So that means double of everything - the hair, make-up, photographers, florists....you get the picture. I've definitely got my work cut out for me.

I know, you're thinking two weddings in the same country - why the hell?? That's what I thought too but realised the slow and painful way (through mum) it wasn't easy for my 70 year old aunts, uncles, grandparents to travel, hop and skip to to some island in the middle of nowhere, as beautiful as that sounds.

Anyway somewhere alongside all that, I thought it was a good idea to start a blog, Twitter, Facebook and another blog! Biting of too much than I can chew??

So Paul and I decided to take a break from our computers and go out to dinner like normal people. It's the start of the deep freeze so I decided to wear my thickest coat.  I still couldn't feel my toes!

This coat has been quite a surprise. I bought it ten years ago and at some point got bored of it. It's now one of my most treasured piece. Which makes throwing anything out much harder as it just might be in fashion next year!

One of the many quirky pictures at the restaurant.

Cabin Fever

It has been awhile since I posted an outfit. I’ve been so busy working on a project and have been holed up in my house for a few days wearing anything that’s a XL, has Lycra, super soft - famously known as ‘comfort clothes’ or ‘jim-jams’.

So today I finally had to venture out of the house and decided to dress up bit. This isn’t too over the top for most people but I suppose it is, if you’re just going to the shop to repair a watch?? This is the backlash after a few days of looking like a slob!

The bag was a lastminute purchase when I was in Paris over the summer. It wasn’t on my list, I shouldn’t have bought it but I love it! Resist I could not as my obsession for anything with spikes took over. I must have stood there staring at the bag for ages before deciding to buy it (with a very patient shop assistant hovering nearby).

Naturally going through the motions of why I had to buy the bag versus no I don’t really need it. Ladies, you know what I’m talking about.

Resistance is futile!

Sølve Sundsbø

Loving these photos by Sølve Sundsbø. The photo series entitled “Bloom” from an edition of V magazine captures patterns and texture in extreme movement. The billowing plumes of floral fabrics create spectacular effect, each image featuring a stunning compostion that features body and garment as art.

Christmas Lights

Last night I was in town to meet a friend for dinner and saw the Christmas lights! Still can’t believe it’s that time of the year already. This year has flown by so quickly. The party invites have already started pouring in. Argh, so much to do and not enough time! Did I mention that I’m getting married in 3 and a half month’s time! Deep breath…

Walked past Liberty store (my favourite) and admired the beautiful fantasy themed window display.  Sorry for the rubbish pictures, I forgot my camera. This is when the Blackberry comes in handy!

I was particularly drawn to the caterpillar/doll creature…thing. It’s certainly interesting but I can’t decide if it looks creepy or fantastic in the Alice in Wonderland kind of way.

The next time you’re in town, pop over and have a peek. It’s definitely worth it.

I’m a lady….now move aside!

Woke up this morning to fog and mist. Winter is truly here….it’s freezing! I decided to add some colour to my day and pulled out my bright pink Stella heels. It always cheers me up!

Walking in heels is still a bit of a mission for me especially in London. I’ve wedged it into cobblestones, potholes, cracks and nearly launched myself into the air many a time. But I will prevail and stride through the pain for the sake of fashion!

Normally I go for the most comfortable pair of flat shoes. Certainly much easier when running after the bus!
